Wilkes University IEEE Engineering Olympics

Students from West Scranton High School took part in the annual Wilkes University IEEE Engineering Olympics on April 12th. The team of junior students competed against other high schools in five events that challenged the students to use their knowledge, innovation and creativity to solve engineering problems. Events included constructing 2D drawings and 3D models, designing a mouse trap car and decoding and building complex electrical circuits. Students enjoyed a tour of the University, tested their problem solving skills and enjoyed a nice lunch in the school's cafeteria. Ciara Grasso and Cassandra Moraca took first place in the motor circuit event!
