New Keystone Opt IN Letter

Current state guidelines have recently changed in regards to state testing requirements.

**This only pertains to those students who were enrolled last year in a Keystone Course. THIS DOES NOT PERTAIN TO STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A KEYSTONE COURSE THIS SCHOOL YEAR 20-21**

KEYSTONE EXAM 2019-20 COHORT (Last school year) are now deemed proficient in a Keystone tested area if they were enrolled & passed in a Keystone trigger course (Algebra I, Biology or English II) during the 2019-20 SY only.

Parents only would have to elect to opt students IN now if you wanted them to test.

Again this only relates to courses they were enrolled last year not this school year. Students are still required to test this year if they are currently enrolled in a Keystone Course.

Please return all forms to Guidance Secretary Mrs. Carolyn Lee by Tuesday, February 16, 2021 . carolyn.lee@ssdedu.org
